Inspired by the early 20th century work of Maurice Fatio and Addison Mizner, Bollay acting as both architect and structural engineer was challenged to design a new villa of the same grandeur, traditional massing, and quality as those created by these eminent architects.  Villa Las Palmas was designed to exude a resplendent quality of this past golden age of revivalist architecture while also responding to our modern lifestyle.
